One boy at preschool....?

It might just be that he likes you and his primary love language is time spent together.I've learned that being kind-but-honest always works. Let him know that you love playing with him, but that you are here to play with everyone. Maybe compare it to the preschool toys: meant to be shared. I'd suggest telling him exactly when you can play with him, such as "we can read a book together after circle time", so he knows you're not out-and-out avoiding him....Show more
Tillie Wynott: The above is BS. The child isn't in love with you. I've worked at a daycare for 2 years. Some kids are just clingy and I guarantee you that before you came, he was attached to someone else, and when you leave whe will attach himself to someone else again. Some kids, especially kids that are just started preschool after being at home with parents, just prefer adults. Just play group games so that you and him are interac! ting with others kids. Its totally normal, don't read to much into it....Show more
