Should I get an Audi A4 1.8T?
Efren Clankscales: You're going to want one more exhaust manifold. Then it is going to match. But then begins the journey of a rapid upgrade. There are numerous different ingredients you are going to ought to make it work competently. Exhaust mani, downpipe, turbo, fueling, software, etc...
Johnnie Pummill: No. You are 20, so do you really need to have a luxury vehicle? Focus on your job and housing rather than a car that could ruin you financially if God forbid you got into an accident of sorts. I used to have an Audi that I thought would be a great car even though it had about 80k on it. THOUSANDS every time the check engine light came on, insurance was high, and chicks did not dig me anymore then they had in the past. Advice? Stick to something fun yet more practical like a used Jetti or GTI. You can get a newer and less used vehicle that is just the same amount of fun if not more. Plus your wallet will thank you (insurance down) and so will the planet. 20/27 isn! 't a bad figure for gas but it is hardly fantastic....Show more
Hye Caulley: For insurance, your best thing to do is compare quotes online from a website that works with most companies. Try a site like QuoteAgents.com
Joan Stavropoulos: To be honest with you, if you really want the car and can maintain it yourself for the next 2-3 years without big problems then do it. after those two to three years look if you could get an '2008 or '2009 model (better mpg and probably can get low mileage when looking for a new one). Learn on the internet on basic stuff like rotating tires, oil changes and beginner stuff on car maintenance. With all that in mind, going to the dealer wont be a must anymore and that's good cause you can save literally hundreds on that. so the car itself in no problem. now gas is another important thing. try to learn on how to save gas with different driving techniques and if you can afford it, see if your car takes premium gas and use it. only if ! your car can take it. this helps the engine clean and less wea! r entire on the whole system. but this doesn't help mpg. now lastly insurance. depending on your driving record, having a clean one can get you littler monthly payments every year you go clean. you can be looking around 250-200 dollars a month as of right now. now if your record is not so clean full with tickets and an accident or two, insurance is going up by a couple hundred. like 400 to 500. so point here is make sure your a really good driver, stay out of racing, speeding, tickets, and violations so you can shrink that monthly payment. it is worth it and you'll enjoy your early adult hood with this car very much as you can. i personally love Audi's cause all the standard features like leather, Bose sound system, performance and overall appeal. Have fun enjoying your new car man. Be safe!...Show more
Vita Moodie: THes are GREAT cars and really are NOT that much of a money pit. They DO require ONLY certain engine oils, and whatever the previous owner did with it, y! ou are STUCK with, well SORT OF.THe COOL thing about EURO cars is that they are virtually indestructible, and even NEGLECT can be CHEMICALYL removed with cleaners. Thsi may NOT make snese, but it's TRUE. The Engine will really NEVER wear out, but DOES require a new TIMING BELT and WATER PUMP job every 100k miles. NO EXCEPTIONS. Only oil meeitn AUD/. VW standards and spec nuimber 502./505 CAN be used, NO EXCEPTIONS. NO VALVOLINE EVER!! Usually insurance is CHEAPR on them becauset heey are SO very sae, and protect occupants the best. ALL fluids must be changed every 100k or 4-5 years. THis means BRAKE FLUID, TRANS FLUID, STEERING FLUID, and engine oil. The BEST european oils can last for TWO FULL years between changing, and AMSOIL makes an oil that is good for 25k miles between changings. YOu are on the RIGHT track, and drive FEARLESSLY knowing that the engine and trans will last till the next century if the RIGH fluids are used and NOBODY adds the wrong fluids EVER! The AUD! I will NOT rust and the exhaust ill NOT break down with time. BUT you M! UST have a audi guy check it out for uyou FIRST!!! BAD oil choices will ROT the crankcase vent system and corrupt the throttle body, the HEART of the tfuel metering system. GOODLUCK!!!...Show more
