Should I drive my car on the highway every now and then?

Shad Bushweller: Yes Absolutely it gives everything in the engine and drive-train a period of operation at optimum temperature and revolutions and allows the engine management to fine tune the engine.A car like that was built to be on highway

Cedric Grimstead: Lots of short journeys (say 3 to 5 miles), especially stop start motoring, are not good for a car, give it a good thrash occasionally.

Jorge Detlefs: Definitely. It's the equivalent of someone sitting all day. Sometimes you just need to stand up and stretch...and is what your car needs to do.

Pattie Vold: it will do it good to get out on the open highway and open it up once in awhile to blow the carbon off the valves. driving around town carbon builds up around the valves and opening it up once in awhile helps clean the valves.
