Laptop screen goes blue/white/red/orange. Hardware prob or software?

Betsey Copp: I bought an HP. Even here in China they stay away from Acer....Oh, by the way...40,000 what? I spent just under $800.00 for my 17" HP notebook in the United States. It has 2gb ram and a 120gb hd vs the 160gb you want. Everything else is pretty much the same.

Ramona Pago: I have a habit of pressing the keys too hard ont he key board and after about a year's use(Dell latitude D505) the keys are weak and dont function when pressed at most times, is there any way to open the key board and reallign the keys or something?

Arlen Decorte: cost :Rs 40,000 (indian currency)

Derrick Smsith: Your HDTV takes 1920 x 1080 pixels, your laptop needs to OUTPUT something as close to this as possible or better to scale down.A smaller HDTV might take 720p which is 1280×720 pixels. My suggestion is to set the HDTV to 720p if possible, this wi! ll match the 1280 x 720 of your laptop. In other words your 57" HDTV is too big for your laptop to give correct resolution.

Roxane Leathers: right clik on desktop, choose properties , select settings tab and then choose highest bit in color quality. see if it does make any difference. sometimes having low or medium bit color quality can do such thing. hope this helps

Beau Starcevic: I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop which is running Windows Vista - and I recently bought a two-ended HDMI cable in order to connect my laptop to my 57" HD Television to watch movies through it. I got the video and sound to work, but I cannot get the resolution to cover the entire TV.The highest resolution available on my laptop is 1280x800, which is too big. The next lowest resolution is 1280x720 - which shows the entire desktop on the TV, but is too small to cover it up.I was wondering if there was a way I could get the resolution to be big enough to cover my TV's? Maybe some sort o! f stretching method?

Randall Twehous: I would do lenovo ! over acer. Hp is a good laptop that meet your specs.I personaly own 3 sony vaios, and a hp laptop, and a sony vaio desktop

Demetrius Coaster: To access the keyboard on any Dell laptop, you have to remove 4 or 5 screws from the bottom of the laptop. Then turn the unit over carefully and lift the keyboard off.Go to Dell site, put in your laptop model and go to support. There will be great help in showing how to access the keyboard. The keyboard is attached with a thin microstrip so don't just lift it off. It has to be lifted from the right side upwards.Check the Dell site first.Sarge

Elsie Resner: @TheEggMan Thanks bro! I actually figured that was the problem. I'll try that out.

Joaquin Dronko: Sounds more like hardware problems but it could possibly be a driver too. I would recommend getting the driver and updating the one you have any see if that helps. otherwise i think your hardware may be giving out.

Malissa Porth: IBM has been top of the line for ! many years. Lenovo is IBM China as IBM sold their computer division for some cash in pocket and some Stock on the side. I guess Lenovo can do good work and the computers still tend to be pricey to reflect the quality. What good about Lenovo is the track point. Many refer to it as the "Rubber Eraser" as it look like a pencil eraser stuck between the keys. I work on computers and build them. For Elderly and Handicapped some can use the Track Point easier than a Touch Pad.Other than the Track Point. Many prefer Acer for fair quality at a good price. Most computers are good. Asus is, in my opinion a top competitor with Lenovo and any computer that claims "Top Dog".I not sure of your 40,000. If that USD or some other currencies then you can buy whatever. If it the Yen, I not sure what you can buy for your area. From your additional comments I assume you use the "Rupee" this about $1020 USD or say $1000 USD. I guess the computers where you are will be similar in price once we con! vert currencies. What I going to do is give you a link to a company here! in America (USA). What you can do is browse their Laptops and when you click on the Details of a Laptop you go to a page. On the right you can read specifications and "Reviews" the reviews help you know what people thought of the computer once they bought it. At this first page you can see on the left prices and the number of computers in the range. Choose anything below $1000 and you be looking in your price range. $750-1,000 the are 103 computers to choose from. You can look at the lower priced also, then if you find something you like, write down the Name (Brand) and model (All the information) and see if you can find local to you.http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCa...
