Video Games and Girls?

Burt Stoecklin: Simple.Video games provide an escape to reality that most guys including myself, find enjoyable. Mothers usually care what there daughters do more than there sons because they feel the need to protect them from the fantasy that video games provide for kids. Another reason Women/Mothers don't like to let there daughters play video games is because if they believe that they didn't like it when they were kids, there daughters will not like it as well. Or they use the excuse that games are a bad habit to get into and have to much violence and gore that little girls should not be seeing (loss of innocence). In my opinion, if you ( girls still in parents home ) want to play video games, than think out an explanation of why you should be able to play the video game.Like Final fantasy for example. if you really wanted to play this game, than tell your parents exactly the violence level in the game and tell them its time you let go of the fact that you are still the! little girl of the house and wish to be treated like and adult and should be given permission to play games of violence like Final Fantasy.Hope this helps, if you have any other questions, feel free to email me.Mark...Show more

Hal Palowoda: If that girl is under 13. Then her mom is true because playing video games might cause you forget to do homeworks and a study for test.

Somer Distilo: Because of all the hype of Video Games causing violence in children, mayb! e?Maybe they think it rots the brain?
