What is the best cheapest boat you can get ?

Darrel Stele: My bait of choice is no doubt a wight less 6" senko or tiki man brand finesse worm in a natural worm color, with a 2 to 3 inch red hook. This bait have worked wonders for me when all else fails, it's a great bait for summer, and during the spawn, and the reason for 6" is beacuse if they don't hit it just bite a half inch off and keep going until you get to the length the want it at.Favorite rod and reel is a M to ML spinning Quantum 7' footer for long casts, and 17lb Sufix siege mono, 12lb to 30lb power pro braid for and a 14lb fluorocarbon leader when I'm using the senko, and some good 'ol Cajun red line!As for hooks, I like a thin wire hook by eagle claw weed less of true turn, so you can penetrate the fishes mouth more easily.I always carry around with me some Carolina Lunker Sauce Freshwater Pro-Series Fish Attractant, for that extra bite....Show more

Georgia Dees: We are going camping this weekend, and for the first time we will be trying for larg! emouth bass. What is the best bait to catch them with? Is it much harder then going for channel cat? I haven't fished for a couple of years, but the last time I did was in the Rockies fly fishing and I caught a nice trout. If I could handle that I am thinking I can do this!!Thanks!...Show more

Sheron Perrez: Try tracker boats, through bass pro shops.

Dick Ovdenk: a little blowup rowboat. just kiddin, otherwise i agree with bobber

Cherry Stampka: crappie generally bite best just before dark and 2-3 hours after dark. If you have a bright light source with you at night this will attract them and make for awesome fishing. Unfortunately it will also attract the bugs. Im not sure where you live, but here in Wisconsin ice fishing for crappies is my favorite time to go. We set up lanterns on the ice and catch them like crazy, and no bugs cuz its too cold! Regardless, the best all-around bait for crappies are minnows.

Darwin Ecton: jack obviously never seen a! skeeter iclass or a ranger Comanche. but like bobber said, ba! ss tracker is cheap and reliable for the price

Craig Virani: im assuming you mean crappie? the best time to catch crappie would be right before dark with a small hook and a crappie minnow

Anibal Katayama: bass boats are over rated

Coleman Ocegueda:

Jamika Gregorio: I had a friend that went fishing in his beer cooler once ...

Dexter Gold: get an aluminum boat with a small motor

Coleman Petropoulos: If you're looking for a good, cheap bass boat, buy a jon boat and build it up. It's a great project. You can make a raised casting deck, add a trolling motor and GPS. The only thing you that will seperate it from a real bass boat is the 250 hp motor, which is totally unnecessary for a casual angler.

Vickie Sterbenz: One that's free. Check on line for used boats through craigslist. There are a lot of ex-wives selling bass boats out there for next to nothing.

Stevie Kizziar: Designng lure for a living is hard work, so we ask the pub! lic what we should bring out WORLDWiDE. What ideas do you have in store ?

Shawn Lelis: lucas there are boat specials at fishing expos and the smaller boat shops/ sales lots having a problem staying above water (so-to-speak) are marking everything down. I saw a brand new 16 foot procraft at a show for $6,000.00 single console with a 75 Horse Mariner ready to go, on a trailer, Cheapest today is gone before tomorrow so save your money and be ready when the kind is available. Try going on line and find where ever you live all the city, county, sheriff and police auctions as well as ebay. You'll be surprised what people are getting rid of because the kind of boat they have always wanted just came walking up and bit them....Show more

Jannette Kotz: I think John S is on the right track. Unless you plan on fishing in Tournaments, fixing up a 14-16FT Jon Boat with Trolling Motor and small Kicker Motor would be fine in MOST cases. Like John S mentioned, you can EASILY bui! ld (or extend) a deck on a wide Jon type boat and have a nice casting p! latform. That is the CHEAPEST (but reliable) route you can go VS (say) a canoe. Look in your local paper, on craigslist, Etc. A "dry" Jon boat with a decent motor will run you about $1500-$2500. That would include Boat, Motor, Trolling Motor and a good solid aluminum V or flat bottom hull. Try to stay away from older fiberglass bass boats that appear to be a "steal". Why? Old, used, tourney bass boats have usually been "dogged" and need more repairs than they are worth.......Here are some examples of a "solid" inexpensive boat from craigslist- 1. http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ram/boa/14318102...2. http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/boa/14309483...If you need a good tourney boat save your money and start looking when you get in the $5-$8000 range. Nothing is worse, (or expensive) than trying to FIX the bass boat you got for a "song".......Hope this helps ya?...Show more

Ellis Cellar: Yesterday

Alexander Villas: Your best times for crappie are early morning! or early evening until after dark. Unless they are spawning than they are active all day.

Rona Espalin: I see decent bass boats all the time online used, with everything for less than like 5 or 6 thousand dollars.Or you can do what I did. I got a 500 dollar pelican bass raider 8E. It's plastic, impossible to sink and actually cruises pretty fast with just the trolling motor. The down side it's only 8 feet long and kind of crowded with 2 people. It comes with two removable seats, but it's best for one person. Just be careful of wind. Don't be afraid to take it on big waters, it's not just for ponds. I take mine on waters up to 200 acres....Show more

Ricardo Rozelle: The most versatile, effective lure of all time, in all environments is the bucktail jig. It mimics nothing, but catches everything. That is why the Navy SEALs carry them around all over the world within their survival kit. You want a lure for the worldwide market, then take a page out of a classic bu! t overlooked lure like the bucktail. Don't rely too much on 'matching t! he hatch', everyone has done that already. Try creating lures that will entice a reaction strike no matter what species it is, or whether fresh or saltwater. If you can come up with something like what the bucktail has done, then you'll be the CEO of a successful lure company.Just my advice on what you should be aiming for instead of some feature on a lure. Good luck, its a tough business to break into....Show more

Marna Liddie: You mean crappie? Crappie are a thin-mouthed panfish that grows rather large. 17-20 inches max. They are deeper water fish that stay tight to cover. Use live bait or lures. Either of them works. Use a light rod, either ultra-light or light action. Spinning reel would be the choice. 4-6 lb. test should be efficient. Here's how i would fish for crappie. Take a weighted round float and put it 2 1/2 ft. from the end of your line. Tie on a size 6 shiner hook. Put on a few small split shots in between the float and hook. Bait the hook up with a small! shiner/minnow. Cast it out and let it sit for a second. You will also catch a lot of smallmouth, largemouth, and spotted bass like this. Mostly crappie though. Even big *** bluegills will take a minnow.Fishing with lures? Tie on a 1/16 oz. road runner jig head, a pink one. Put on a chartreuse tube/grub. Work the lure around structure. You should slay the crappie and also catch some smallmouth bass, white bass, and large bluegill. Mostly crappie though, once again. And to answer your question, crappie fishing is good in early morning or late evening....Show more
