Donte Liversedge: Yes, the most certainly hold weddings on cruise ships, as well as "ports of call" where the ship stops for the day. You can get married on the ship if you want. (I went on a cruise last year, and saw someone getting married as the ship set sail, and the sun set). They charge everyone the normal price for the cruise. If you want flowers, champagne, or any extras, you have to pay more, (which is VERY expensive! They charge ab! out 3 times the price as you will find in any store, maybe even more than that). They have people to do your hair and make-up, but I'll be honest, they aren't the best in the world-(at least not on the cruise I went on with Carnival Cruise Lines). I'm not sure about private receptions, but even if the reception were private, you would have a hard time keeping party crashers out, because it's not like they would provide security. I wouldn't let that ruin your good time though; cruises are very fun, and as long as you have the people you want with you, I don't think a ship full of people wishing you well will ruin that. Most ship lines have packages and let you get married in a " port of call" and provide like flowers, c! ake, official and maybe some champagne. I went on Royal Carib! bean and they had various packages. As far as a reception, they don't do that because they have to allow all passengers to have access to all parts of the ship, can't close off part for you.
