What kind of food do you feed your dogs and what are some reasons why you chose this food? ?

I rotate food every several months (among Orijen, Wellness Core, and Solid Gold Barking at the Moon). Why do I use Evo (and rotate)?1. We do agility. So it's particular important that my dog's food be quality. Innova Evo is a top-rated food at www.dogfoodanalysis.com and meets my understanding also of what a top food should be: high protein, high fat, no grains or cereals like corn.2. It's a small kibble size. I like to take some of my dog's daily serving (about 1/2 of it actually) and make him earn it through the day. I take 15 pieces with me when we take a walk and he earns it on the walk for doing stuff. We do quick trick or obedience work all day (I work fr! om home) and I use the kibble as a reward. It's the right size for a reward.3. Research on performance dogs shows that high fat produces a lean dog that gets injured less, is quicker, has better endurance. So all of the foods I use have high protein and high fat content (high compared to most other options).4. My dog will eat anything but he seems to devour the Innova Evo compared to the others. I don't think that's a statement on the quality, only that every dog has individual tastes.5. Why do I rotate foods? Two reasons: everyone (even dogs) likes variety--monotony is a bad thing. Also, any food, repeated long enough, can produce an allergy. That's why the Wellness Core is a great alternative--because I can switch from a food where say, the principle protein is chicken and turkey and go with something like Buffalo or fish or lamb....answers 2:I feed Taste of the Wild, it is 70% protein and 30% veggies, and they love it, they never leave a bite, all gone.I was fe! eding Canidae and they changed their formula and Demon got sic! k off of it.....so one of my great contacts suggested TOTW and so I switched and they are doing great on it......does the coat and skin well, not dry or dull, never flaky skin.all 3 of my boys love it.........answers 3:I have quite a few dogs so I have a variety of foods I feed.All my puppies start out on Pedigree canned lamb and rice...less potential for allergic reactions.From there,they go to Purina Puppy Healthy Morsels.....and from there,they have their choice of Kibbles n Bits,roasted chicken or brushing bites,Pedigree small crunchy bites,and ONLY Milkbones for a snack..no soft snacks for my dogs..try to keep their teeth healthy.answers 4:Dad's Bite Size Dog Food.As much as I'd love to spend *tons* of money on better dog food; my dogs reject it. =/I've tried everything I could find around here, and even ordered online. They just didn't like the food at all.No idea why.I really wish I could give them something better.But it's working for them. No corn. And her poop doesn't stink. She only poops once, sometimes twice, a day.She only eats once a day. I set it out in the mornings, often forget about it, and it will still be there in the evenings. She eats it in the evenings....answers 6:I feed my dogs Canidae ALS.I feed this food because it is good quality (5 star on dogfoodanalysis.com) and is reasonably well priced ($40 for a 35lb bag)!answers 7:I feed blue buffalo adult, it has good quality ingredients in it. the only negative is that is last the minimum meat content required. As for treats, I give them dingo bones and chicken strips, which they love.answers 10:Nutro Max, this is a good dog food It is full of what they need instead of the junk that many others put in theirs. With less filler in the food they use more of it to fuel their bodies and they produce less waste. It is all i have used for years my dogs are very healthy and happy.answers 11:i like CANIDAE dry. they do very well on it and it makes sense for my diverse group of 13.answers 12:I feed Wellness Super Five Mix Small Breed. I fed them that because they do good on it, and they also like it. Sometimes they get a some Merrick caned food for a treat.answers 13:I used to feed my 7 month old Chihuahua Blue Buffalo... But she didn't really like it. She would like never eat. I wanted to feed her a healthy food though so I switched to Wellness Just for Puppy... And she loves it! haha.What do you feed your puppies?answers 14:I feed Merrick. Not only does my dog love it, but I like it too. It is a 5 star brand with no fillers, and other crap that dogs don't need. It has real vegetables and organic meat. I feed him twice a day, he has been loosing weight since I have been feeding him this. (Which is a good thing because he is a bit over weight) I have not had a problem with it....
