Law Enforcement employment criteria?

Kimberlee Bowdish: i know they can see it jay. it's kinda like a one and done thing which i assumed it would be. kinda sucks. thanks for the honest answer.

Sunshine Holets: Like Jay noted, and you acknowledged; yes, they will see it; and no, you won't get hired. It is sort of a shame, that you made such a huge mistake in judgment. However, if you were already inclined to that sort of behavior, maybe you were never really suited for a law enforcement career to begin with. That will unfortunately also bar you from must other public safety employment in the fire service or EMS.I did hundreds of applicant background checks in my career, and I promise you, this is not one error that will be excused. Even if you scored perfectly on the written, oral and PT tests, you are out. Sorry. Good luck in some other endeavor....Show more

Jayson Brod: You did not do yourself any favors. You may still be considered for employment as you do not have a criminal record.

J! annette Kotz: Save yourself some trouble. No law enforcement agency will consider you with an arrest for possession of a hard drug. To top it off it was a felony. Don't kid yourself. Just because you were diverted it does not mean that your criminal record is available for every law enforcement agency to see.
