History: The Enola Gay & Public History ?

answers1: It really depends, a museum curator is part historian, and
part artist in how they cause the audience to reflect on the past and
even on how the exibit affects attitudes and beliefs. There really is
no one way to do an exhibit, and there are a lot of factors.
answers2: I am not familiar with the Kohn essay,

I would say Yes exhibits should present perhaps uncomfortable and
unpopular aspects - as long as they are rooted in historical fact and
stay true to the exhibit on hand.

All history should report all facts from all aspects, from which the
observer can come to a conclusion . Otherwise, how are we to learn
from history?
Just read some of Kohn. He seems to favor history "presented
truthfully -- with strength, balance, sensitivity, and integrity."
