Hong Hunkin: I think it's great that are you planning to study philosophy, because I heard doing so will increase your independent thinking skills (besides studying history). However, in terms of job prospects, studying biochemistry may be provide more opportunities, especially in research, whereas a philosophy major may only land you a job as a teacher or professor.
