Do you enjoy gardening at home?

Rana Rudell: I love it. I always said I would not because I hated going with my mom to buy plants when I was little. My mom who is 64, still working full time, is still an avid gardener. Last year I froze green beans and made home made spaghetti sauce.

Catheryn Small: I totally love gardening and I've read a lot of gardening books and now I currently reading a gardening book that will totally changed my gardening style forever. Believe me or not but you can check it out yourself too, because it may change yours too forever. Even with our busy lifestyle, it'll work. The book is called the "All New Square Foot Gardening" by Mel Bartholomew. Check his website, www.squarefootgardening.com. I went and check myself and it's amazing how people did their gardens.Have fun gardening!!!! Believe me you will now....Show more

Jarrod Darnall: I have an extremely busy lifestyle. It is my garden that keeps me sane and get thru rough periods in life. Gardening is a great stre! ss reliever. There are plants like daylillies, marigolds, iris, perennial geraniums, Shasta daisy, hibiscus, dusty miller that are no-nonsense, low maintenance plants that don't require much work. Watering and fertilizing is important.

Aron Ramu: i love to garden at home, right now i have been going through what i am going to plant, change, etc in my gardens already for this year. i also have a ton of inddor plants that i putter with all winter. i find it helps with the winter blahs. i cant wait for spring!!!

I'm getting a chug (chihuahua pug mix) tomorrow. Any tips?

I'm getting a chug (chihuahua pug mix) tomorrow. Any tips?

answers 0:My family has never had a dog before. Tips?answers 1:one thing you should know is chihuahua love to sleep under things i.e blankets. so if you leave clothes or sheets on the floor make sure he hasn't gotten under them in case you pick them up and he falls out. that's only if he takes after his chihuahua side.just make sure he is loved well fed and always has water. also small breeds are hard to toilet train so make sure you watch him like a hawk. always take him out to toilet after playing, sleeping, eating and drinking. he should be let out to toilet pretty much every half an hour. when he goes outside give him love and a treat. if he catch him doing it in the house take him straight out and again love and treat. all accidents indoors should be ignored and don't let him see you c! leaning it up.little dogs tend to be hyper to, you little pup will need maybe a 15 minutes walk increasing to half an hour as he grows. as for all dogs no going outside until hes had his vaccinations.other then that watch you step them paws are tiny. google is the best place to go with help with training, cheaper then puppy books....answers 2:@Critters we are paying for him bcuz he had a surgery on his eye and he has his shots and was neutered.answers 3:I have a 11 week old puppy chigi and was wondering how often I should give her a bathanswers 4:Dogs are like babies. Take care of them and love them like they're you're own child. Only scold them if they do something bad or won't listen to you. Make sure to take your dog for a walk every day, even if it's just around the house. Play with him so he won't get over weight. Your Chug might get one of the Pugs trates. Pugs have a thing where they can eat and eat and eat and not feel full. So feed your Chug a decent amount of dog ! food each day, because if it over eats, that'll not be a good ! thing. Most important rule is to enjoy your dog and love your dog for the time you have him....answers 5:I don't care what you call your new dog. It's a mutt. While a young dog, at 1 year, it is no longer a puppy. At 1 year, a new dog might still want to chew, especially in a new enviroment. Pick up your shoes, clothes, books, etc., and give your new baby chew toys.Even at 1 year, the new dog may not understand where you want him to potty. Bring your new family member into your home, and LEAVE HIM ALONE. Let him sniff and figure out all the new smells. If you see him in the potty position, immediately leash him and take him to the door where YOU want him to go outside. Please don't pick him up and take him out. He won't know where to go next time. Praise him when he goes outside. Let him adjust to his new home. Make sure he has plenty of water in the same spot at all times. Chihuahuas often graze (meaning they don't wolf down every bit of food at the same time, but like to ! come back to it). Pugs, often get gready and eat everything at one serving. You will need to watch your new dog to see what he does. Over feeding does NO good. Check with your vet to find the proper amounts to feed your new dog. My Chi only requires 1/2 Cup food daily. (dry). She is a grazer. She will take a few pieces and eat when she wants to.Some dogs (pugs are known for this) will eat everything at one time, and act like they want more. If you put a whole day's meal before a pug, often they will eat it all at once.Another thing with a new dog, since you've never had one before. They need exersise. Yes, even little dogs need to go for a walk, or run and play. Only you can decide whether you want your new dog to sleep in his own little bed or with you. Keep in mind, at 1 year, the dog might have his own mind made up too.Just me and my Chihuahua, she was a rescue dog, 4 yrs ago, scared of everything when she first came to us. She ran under the couch as soon as she got home! . She didn't come out for almost 2 weeks if we were in the room. Now, s! he owns us. She will never pee or poop in the house. Even if we are gone for 10 hours, she will hold it, but OH BOY, does she ever NEED to go out as soon as we come home. She has her own little bed, and since she is a long haired Chi, I know she sleeps in it when we aren't home, but she NEEDS to be with us when we are home. She sleeps with us at night. She plays 'musical chairs' in the evenings, when we relax. She was never interested in toys. This is just our baby, so hope it helps....answers 6:Small dogs are a handful. Be sure that it's first introduction to your house is a positive one and have everyone in your family feed him or her a treat. Don't overwhelm him the first day either. It's already very stressful moving to a new place with new people. Be calm and have everyone take turns petting him. If there are kids in your family explain that doggy is going to be tired so they need to be quiet and gentle with him. Good luck!answers 7:Very cool, I have a pit bull/black la! b mix I adopted over a year ago. It is one of the nicest, well-behaved animals I have ever had. She was left to die in an abandoned home, was one day from being euthanized in a shelter, and almost died from pneumonia a week after we got her. Now she is perfect, a pain once in a while, but all around great. I wish more people would adopt dogs and cats from shelters. They are less-expensive and obviously they do not have to die. Some people don't understand that there are many puppies and kittens that need homes too....answers 8:haha i saw a dog like this yesterday. they look so cool. i think chug sounds fine. these other ppl need to get over themselves.answers 9:The biggest tip I would give you is to not make yourself sound like a gullible naive ignoramous by calling this dog a chug. It is a chi / pug cross - end of. Other tips - start reading all you can and come back here if you have any problems. Oh yes - and always allow the dog to settle in at it's own pace - pup! or adult. Do not overwhelm by having lots of people over to see your ! little mutt....answers 10:First, take him to the vet for a wellness check. Second stop calling him a chug. These so called designer names are ridiculous.answers 11:they are all so cute. 🙂answers 12:You have very cute pets!!!! We adopted a cocker spaniel and what a sweetie. Unfortunately he got run over out on our farm. We just got a black lab-german shepherd cross that is 10 weeks old.answers 13:You shouldn't have a 5 week old puppy, UNLESS you have the whelping mother and the puppies littermates. It's ILLEGAL in some areas to get a puppy younger than 7 weeks of age and it's not advisable. Puppies who are brought to young often become prone to behavioral and mental issues as well as social issues because they are separated from their litter-mates to early. Puppies who are given away to early also are more prone to health issues, because, the younger the puppy, the weaker the immune system. At 5 weeks old this puppy should still be being weaned. At 5 weeks a puppy's eyes! ight is pretty good....answers 14:oh of courseI have 5 cats, yes 5 lolRuby was dumped at my mom's office- http://s441.photobucket.com/albums/qq134/fishable1...Oliver was also from the office- http://s441.photobucket.com/albums/qq134/fishable1...Adora was found as a kitten- http://s441.photobucket.com/albums/qq134/fishable1...Simon was a stray we found in our neighborhood- http://s441.photobucket.com/albums/qq134/fishable1...Sox was adopted from the Humane Society and is now 23- http://s441.photobucket.com/albums/qq134/fishable1...we also have one dog named Scruffy who is a schnauzer mix- http://s441.photobucket.com/albums/qq134/fishable1...and here is our dog Jack we recently lost from Valley Fever-RIP http://s441.photobucket.com/albums/qq134/fishable1...after rescuing so many animals, I could NEVER buy one. There are so many homeless animals out there it makes no sense to go out and buy one, when you could save a life!btw your pets are really cute, especially your l! hasa apso!...
